Loki, the Red–Haired God?

Loki was the Norse god of mischief; no problem there. But did he have red hair?

Wikipedia doesn't mention this 'factoid'. A search on Google found a site on tumblr (with a post–watershed name), where I read that "Loki is often depicted with red hair, likely because of the common conflation with Logi, the spirit of fire who appears in the story with Utgard-Loki. The connection between red and fire is quite strong. [But] Loki’s appearance and hair color is never mentioned in what lore has survived".

Just to be sure, that tumblr sire (let's call it FYNM) asked "an expert", whose reply was "There aren’t many sources that describe Loki’s appearance, but there is Snorres Edda that mentions, that he was beautiful/handsome. As far as I know it’s not mentioned anywhere that he was red haired, but Thor was (red haired)."

Another site on tumblr, in response to a question about Loki's appearance, said that "Thor [not Loki] was specifically singled out as the red-haired god." There follows a very nerdish discussion as to whether there is any justification for thinking of Loki as having red hair; but the answer, by most accounts, would seem to be "No".
